Stand and Face the Rain

I have come to the conclusion that life is about standing and facing the rain. I have been doing it much of my life. Life is not about hiding under a rock until the storm passes. A man cannot get anywhere in life by hiding from the very tests that make him a man. In my life time i have realized some things about men: we thrive on adventure, we need to be useful, we live to serve. along with each of those things come significant tests. I have have some tests that have threatened to take my life. I have met men who have lost it all. I believe that it is only when a man loses it all, can he begin to become a man. Because it is in that moment that he chooses to live as a shell of a man and run away, or stand and face the rain.
